Tsabu Maphike, a Chartered Accountant, completed her articles at KPMG specialising in financial services audits with a strong focus on BEE structures, debt funding and tax structures. She subsequently entered the world of Investment Banking, working on various debt-funded projects ranging from mining, power projects and BEE structures. Thereafter, she joined the International Division within the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), focusing on funding large infrastructure projects in the SADC region.
An entrepreneur at heart, she then co-founded MMN Chartered Accountants providing Accounting, Tax, Audit, Capital Funding Solutions and Advisory services. At MOTHEO she has been instrumental in working with state-owned funding entities to assist SMME’s grow their businesses to ensure the governments’ mandate of job creation is realized. She’s a mentor for the GoldmanSachs-GIBS 10000 Certificate programme for Women Entrepreneurs and Business Partners. She’s founder member of Graca Machel’s New Faces New Voices; a woman’s advocacy group to get African women to be part of developing solutions for Africa. She also sits on municipal audit committees.
Miss Maphike is passionate about the economic development of South Africa to ensure sustainable jobs are created.
